Originally from Chicago, Latoya relocated to Wichita Falls, Texas, to pursue her career in broadcast journalism. As a TV News Reporter, Anchor, and Social Media Specialist for KFDX-TV, she connected with people from all walks of life, telling their stories authentically and purposefully. Through her storytelling and marketing strategies, she elevated the station’s brand and boosted engagement across Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter (X).

Latoya leads the charge in marketing, branding, and content creation for the City of DeSoto, Texas, passionately shaping the city's identity and vision. She was the driving force behind creating a fresh city logo and brand identity, a project that came to life in April 2022. Her relentless dedication led her to present this new vision to the City Council, who unanimously adopted the new logo and city flag—a moment of immense pride for DeSoto.
Collaborating with every department, Latoya crafts compelling content that speaks to the heart of residents, stakeholders, and the media, always keeping the city’s evolving needs at the forefront. She also spearheads initiatives that ensure social media consistency, boost resident engagement, and enhance the marketing of city events.
